Ways to Support PBI-Canada
Donate to Help Protect Human Rights Defenders
Your support makes it possible for Peace Brigades International (PBI) to accompany defenders at risk, deter violence, and expand political space for non-violent human rights work.
1. Learn Why Your Support Matters
Stories and updates from the field show why international protective accompaniment is urgently needed. When you understand their realities, your support becomes deeper, informed, and rooted in solidarity.
2. Make a Donation
Make a One-Time or Monthly Gift
One-time donations support urgent response, field readiness, and diplomatic deterrence efforts. Monthly donations provide reliable support that allows PBI to sustain long-term accompaniment and respond quickly when new protection requests arise.
Make a Donation3. Leave a Legacy of Solidarity
Legacy gifts protect the longevity, independence and readiness of non-violent accompaniment work. Bequests can support training, future deployments, organiser wellbeing, and crisis-response capacity.
Bequest options can include:
- A percentage of an estate
- A specific dollar amount
- Securities or life-insurance beneficiary naming
4. Other Ways to Give
- Donate securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds)
- Workplace gift matching or payroll deduction (if available through your employer)
- Tribute or In Honour gifts to celebrate or remember key people or moments
- Community fundraising events or in-kind professional support that sustains defender visibility or training
All contributions must uphold PBI’s operational independence. We rely on supporters who value dignity, leadership, safety, and non-violence in practice.
Supporters
Our supporters include individuals, organisations, and communities across Canada who believe in non-violence, human rights, and international solidarity. Their contributions make it possible for PBI to maintain a protective presence alongside defenders around the world.
