PBI-Canada expresses its concern about the continued criminalization and harassment of Wet’suwet’en land defenders and water protectors opposed to the construction without free, prior and informed consent of the TC Energy Coastal GasLink fracked gas pipeline on their unceded territory and across the Wedzin Kwa river in British Columbia.

“In the last two years we have been focusing on building our relationships and continuing the fight against the criminalization of our people for upholding Wet’suwet’en ‘anuk niwh it’en (law).

The violence experienced Nov 18/19, 2021 goes beyond a calendar day. We continue to hold each other up and fight.

Upcoming court dates are:

Nov 27- Dec 1 for Sabina and Dsta’hyl continued trial

Jan 8- 19 is scheduled for Sleydo’, Shay and Corey arrested at Coyote Camp.

Civil suit against the RCMP, CGL and Forsythe Security for Intimidation and Harrassmet is ongoing.
