The organizations, defenders and communities accompanied by PBI-Honduras include the Honduran Alternative for Community and Environmental Vindication (ARCAH), “a space for community articulation and an anti-capitalist, anti-racist, anti-patriarchal, anti-colonialist and anti-classist social movement”; the Arcoíris LGTB Association of Honduras, an organization founded with “the aim of empowering the LGTBI community in Honduras”; the National Union of Rural Workers (CNTC), “a small-scale farming and trade union organisation, which fights for the distribution of land”; and the Civic Council of Grassroots and Indigenous Organizations in Honduras (COPINH), that “promotes the protection of territories and the recognition of the political, economic, social and cultural rights of indigenous peoples in Honduras”.

The holistic protective accompaniment provided by Peace Brigades International helps enable these organizations to continue their work.
