We join with PBI-Colombia in welcoming their new field volunteers. They are Sunniva (Norway), Inge (Austria), Mathilde (France), Alexandra (Portugal) and Inés (Spain).

PBI-Colombia quotes them stating: “We are looking forward to beginning this new experience and accompanying human rights defenders. We consider it an exceptional opportunity to accompany different farmer, indigenous and Afro-descendant organizations in their struggles with land rights issues, their pursuits of justice for victims of the conflict, and their work with families of forcibly disappeared persons. Parting from our own experiences, we connect with each other through our motivation to contribute to the construction of a fairer world and our desire to learn about the organizations that have been working towards the consolidation of a more just society for so many decades.”

PBI-Canada recently co-hosted along with PBI-UK, PBI-USA and PBI-Nederland a webinar to encourage people to volunteer with PBI in the field.

PBI-Mexico is currently seeking field volunteers. To apply prior to Friday November 11, please click here. PBI-Colombia is also seeking additional volunteers. Their deadline is Sunday November 27. More on that here.

On November 8, PBI-Honduras also tweeted: “This week at PBI Honduras we started a new training for field volunteers. We wish you a very good job and we send you a lot of encouragement in your debates and reflections. We look forward to seeing you soon on the ground!”
