PBI-Canada supports VOW Peace day of action against $19 billion for new fighter jets

On Friday July 24, Peace Brigades International-Canada and World Beyond War supported the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace (VOW Peace) cross-country day of action against the Canadian government’s plan to spend $19 billion on new fighter jets.

It was also supported by the Regina Peace Council, Pax Christi Toronto, Ottawa Peace Council, Pacifi, KW Peace, Conscience Canada, Pivot2Peace, Women’s International League for Peace & Freedom (WILPF) Canada, Ottawa Raging Grannies, Labour Against the Arms Trade, Hamilton Coalition to Stop The War, and others.

The day of action against new fighter jets was noted in the: Aldergrove Star, Barrie Today, Collingwood Today, Peterborough Examiner, Winnipeg Sun, Beach Metro News, Saskatoon Star-Phoenix and The Tyee.
