PBI-Colombia accompanies CREDHOS as Amnesty International Secretary General visits the San Silvestre wetlands

On November 27, CREDHOS tweeted:

“Agnes Callamard Secretary General of @amnistia International is in #Colombia for the first time, knowing the situation of #human rights, management carried out by #Credhos, visiting #Fedepesan and taking a tour of #wetland #SanSilvestre.”

Erika Guevara Rosas, the Americas Director for Amnesty International, also tweeted:

“Today we have been in #Barrancabermeja, learning from various associations of fishermen and defenders of #human rights in the #MagdalenaMedio region about the devastating impact of environmental degradation, violence and conflict in the communities #Colombia.”

And she tweeted:

“With our sister organizations @PBIColombia and @Credhos_Paz, we have visited #Fedepesan and toured the #SanSilvestre #wetland, affected by oil contamination and other industries that today put the way of life of thousands of families at risk.”
