PBI-Mexico accompanies the Women’s Association Never Allow at meeting with the Director General of Human Rights in Morelos

On September 28, La Cronica de Morelos reported: “The Director General of Human Rights of the Ministry of Government, Luis Ortiz Salgado, held a working table with Peace Brigades International, in order to implement all measures to protect human rights activists.”
The meeting was attended by the president of the Asociación Mujer Nunca Permitas (the Women’s Association Never Allow) and the head of the System for the Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents (SIPINNA).
The Cuernavaca, Morelos-based Mujer Nunca Permitas AC (Women Never Allow AC) is “a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to defend the human rights of women; as well as helping those who are or have experienced some kind of violence.”

The article adds: “Topics such as: mechanisms for the protection of activists, training, communication and international protection instruments, among others, were addressed.”
In this media release, the state of Morelos also noted the meeting along with several photos and a 1-minute video of the meeting.
It quotes the state official who says: “The State Government will continue to work in favor of the freedoms and human rights of all.”
